We don't have your data

Beacon Finance does not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal or financial data on Seagull Labs servers. Everything you enter (transactions, accounts, budgets, receipts) lives exclusively in your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit.

We have no servers that hold your information. We cannot see your data. No employee of Seagull Labs can access what you store in Beacon.

iCloud & Apple

All data storage and synchronization is handled by Apple through CloudKit. Your data is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). Apple encrypts your data in transit and at rest. Seagull Labs has no access to these encryption keys.

Payments & subscriptions

Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple Inc. through the App Store. Seagull Labs never receives, stores, or processes your payment card details.

No analytics, no advertising

Beacon Finance contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking code. We do not use tools such as Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, or Facebook SDK. We collect no usage data, crash reports through third parties, or behavioral analytics.

Partner access

If you activate Partner Access, certain budget data is shared with the person you invite via Apple CloudKit. You control who is invited and can revoke access at any time in Settings. Seagull Labs has no visibility into data shared through this feature.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete all your data at any time via Settings → Delete All My Data inside the app, or via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Beacon Finance → Delete Data. Removing the app alone does not delete your iCloud data.

Your privacy rights

California (CCPA): Because Seagull Labs does not collect or store personal data on its own servers, CCPA server-side requests are not applicable. All personal data resides in your iCloud account under Apple's policies.

Canada (PIPEDA / Law 25): The application does not collect personal information as defined under PIPEDA, Bill C-27, or Quebec's Law 25. No personal data is transmitted to or stored by Seagull Labs.
